LBR Parking Mode

came across an issue today in LBR mode.

HK4 installed yesterday, my unit powers on and off like it should. LV set to 12.2.
Have good battery in vehicle and would have got no where near that.

a329 2ch with factory firmware, 512gb card.



Testing parking mode today on 3 occasions.
LBR, no delay, GPS on, HDR on.

When turning off vehicle, no sound from a329 unlike my a229pro, but Rec light momentarily goes off then back on.

When starting vehicle, no sound from a329 unlike my a229pro , but Rec light momentarily goes off and back on, and screen comes on like a normal start.

LBR footage starts 3 seconds after Normal recording ends and vice versa.

1st two went fine according to footage on card.
14min park and 40min park.

3rd occasion….After 20min of parking mode, upon reentering vehicle and starting up,

a329 Rec light did not go off and come back on nor did screen come on. a329 stayed in LBR parking mode for 15min.

Had to open up menu and turn off parking mode.
Then it resumed normal operation.



Will test again tomorrow.

May have to swap out HK4….may be the one I got is temperamental.
 
Maybe the choice of fuses for the accessory or power cable does something unexpected? If you have a multimeter it may be good to test.

Contact Viofo support, describing all the symptoms.
Perhaps they are aware of this problem and there is a solution in the new firmware...

Also, check that you have a good GND connection to metal.

Thank You for the replies,

all connections are good, used heat sink butt connectors (solder) for taps from BATT and ACC on HK4 and the common ground cnx on vehicle is good.
fuses used for tap perform as normal.

Can you use your A229 to test the HK4? Make sure that it is not the camera that is the problem.
 
Can you try it with the original car charger and cable for testing?

Do you use the HK4 hardwire kits?

Yes , i used HK4 hardwire kit.

Have not been able to test again or swap out with a229 pro yet.

Will do asap
 
Had some time today for another test.

Double checked both BATT and ACC connections, both good and fuses good
Ground is good and secure.

All settings in camera stayed the same but changed GPS to off during parking mode, did that so I could visually confirm GPS light off when vehicle turned off, and came back on after startup.

All 3 occasions (according to footage ) of parking mode today worked as it should in LBR.

Still no audible sound from my a329 like my a229pro.

That vehicle with a229 pro is away still, will try with that cam in this vehicle asap.

still on firmware from factory.

Do you mean that there is no voice notification, such as parking recording started after your car is parked? Please check if you have turned on all the notification sound in the settings.

I don’t use voice notifications.

Beep setting is to All on

when vehicle is turned off or on with LBR parking mode on, my a329 does not make any startup or shutdown beeps like it does when vehicle is turned off or on with LBR parking mode selected off.
Is a329 designed/supposed to?

My a229 pro makes the normal beeps when that vehicle is turned off or on in LBR parking mode or not in parking mode.

That is all i have to go on.
