Leaving the display on while recording

The 4K turns off it's rear display after a minute or so. Is there a way to have the video display continuously or have the red record indicator continue to flash?
I would prefer to have the display remain on in spite of the battery usage. At a minimum, the red record indicator to remain flashing.

Yes go into settings, advanced settings and set the Screen Auto Lock to Never and also go into Settings, LED's and set to All On

In many states / countries it is not legal to have a screen visible to the driver that displays a live view of the road ahead. Thus you will find that most cameras with screens turn them off after a short while.

I'd recommend just using the red indicator LED.

Thanks for the advise. I don't plan on using the unit as a dash cam. I'm using it as a camcorder.
