Lens extension

Does anyone know with absolute certainty that the 8" extension is the longest available because of possible interference issues or that is the only length available?

8" is the longest available length, as anything longer will cause unacceptable image quality degradation.

If you really need / want more separation between lens & camera body, you'll have to buy an Innovv C3.
