How many of you run your Mobius with loop recording option? Is it bad for the camera/memory card as it is always on?

A typical SD card (multi-level cell ,MLC) is rated at ~10,000 write cycles. The Mobius goes through one write cycle every ~180 minutes in loop mode ( high quality) with a 32Gb card. The card's "life expectancy" then is ~1250 days.

Got a message today from one of our early customers that had our old GS1000 based product we used to do letting me know that the camera was starting to play up, still using the original Class 10 U1 Sandisk card we used back then, total usage to date, 400,000 kms of driving, not a bad effort from both the camera and the memory card I thought

How else, without loop recording? One big 4gb file?

I'd be mad if the camera died before the mSD card

Bruce Wayne,
I have a question concerning loop recording If you don't mind me posting in your thread.

Does anyone know if loop recording will overwrite any other files on the Micro SD card other than movie files?
I found that I can play the video's on my Android cell phone by inserting the Micro SD card in my phone.

That's what I thought.
Thanks for your reply!
