When manually formatting my SD card after being prompted, I press MENU, and it snaps a photo.

I guess I've forgotten how to enter the MENU!!

Can anyone give me a quick reminder?

stop recording first

It always catch me out. It's a pity the menu button doesn't take you straight to the menu but the unit makes sure it is doing it's primary job of recording first.

Yes, just pushing the record button on the left side, when it beeps the recording has stopped and you can enter the menu.
