Stills(Photos) Mode

Press Mode until the 'Still camera' icon appears in the top left corner

Recording

Press REC key to take a still photo or a short clip.

(You can't Lock a Still clip [JPG])



Press MENU key once for the Still settings menu

Stills Settings menu:

Press Down to highlight type of setting

Press REC to display the choices for that setting type

Press Up/Down to choose a setting

Press REC to Save your choice and return to the Menu

◣The 12 Still types are:

Capture mode: Singleframe, 2sec clip, 5sec clip, 10sec clip

Image resolution: 12M 4032*3024, 10M 3648*2736, 8M 3264*2448, 5M 2592*1944, 3M 2048*1536, 2MHD 1920*1080, VGA 640*480, 1.3M 1280*960

Sequence: Off/On

Quality: Fine, Normal, Economy (impacts storage, Fine uses most)

Sharpness: Strong, Normal, Soft

White Balance: Auto, Daylight, Cloudy, Tungsten, Fluorescent

Color: Normal, Black & White, Sepia

ISO: Auto, 100, 200, 400

Exposure: +2.0, +5/3, +4/3, +1.0, +2/3, +1/3, +0.0, -1/3, -2/3, -1.0, -4/3, -5/3, -2.0

Anti-shaking: Off/On

HDR: ON (no other option)

Date Time Stamp: Off, Date only, Date & Time

When done, Press the MENU key to return to the normal, non-Menu screen



Playback

Press Mode until the 'Film Strip'or 'Blue Arrow' icon appears in the top left corner

Initially the most recent file,based on Date and Time, will be displayed near the top right of the screenThis may not be True-jwc

Video files will have:

- a Film Strip icon in the upper left corner

- the file number, xxx-xxxx, and Resolution (1080FHD...) shown at the top right

- the date and time recording ended (when file was Saved) above the Battery icon

- the date and time recording started in very tiny font underneath the Battery icon

It may have a 'Lock' icon.

There will be 'player' controls across the bottom.

Stills files will have:

- a solid Blue Arrow icon, pointed to the right, in the upper left corner

- the file number, xxx-xxxx, and Resolution (4032x3024...) shown at the top right

- the date and time recording ended (when the file was Saved) above the Battery icon

- something in very very very tiny unreadable font underneath the Battery icon (a bug?)

It will not have a 'Lock' iconunless it was moved to a 'Locked' Folder when connected to a PC.

There are NO 'player' controls across the bottom.



◣Video

Press UP/DOWN key to select the desired file for playback

Press REC key to start/pause the video playback (REC will not cancel playback, use the Down key to 'fast forward' at 8x to end of file)

Press Down key while playing to increase the playback speed to 2x, 4x or 8x speed

Press UP key while playing to rewind or reduce the playback speed



◣Photos

Press UP/DOWN key to select desired file for viewing or clip playback

Press REC key to start/pause the video playback (will not cancel playback, use the Down key to skip forward to end of file)



Press MENU key once for thePlayback settings (File Management) menu

Playback Settings menu:

The 3 types are:

1) Delete:

Press the Up/Down key to select: Delete Current, Delete All

Press the REC key

Press the Up/Down key to select an action: Cancel or OK

Press the REC key to execute the action

2) Protect:

Press the Up/Down key to select: Lock Current, Unlock Current, Lock All, Unlock All (only MOV files, not JPG)

Press the REC key to execute the action

3) Slideshow: 2sec, 5sec, 8sec to display the Photos, in sequence, for xx seconds

Press the REC key to execute the action

Press the REC key to stop the action

When done, Press the MENU key to return to the normal, non-Menu screen

Notes:

1) Lock All will prevent you from recording new video/stills if the card is Full but is valid if you really want to protect everything and have a new, empty, card to use.

2) Delete only deletes unlocked files. If you want to delete everything, Format the card or first Unlock All and then Delete All.

Connect to PC

After the USB cable is connected to the computer theLCD display appearsand the blue indicator will turn on

Press REC to enable communication with the computer

The computer will automatically detect the Micro SD card as a drive and the files may be accessed using Windows Explorer (or MAC Explorer?)

When done, Unplug the USB cable and then Turn the device off



System requirements:

- Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7(maybe 8, but maybe not 8)

- MAC OS *10.3.6 or above



Notes:

1) If the device 'crashes' during usage, press the RESET button and restart
