Manually Lock file

Hi, just got a G1W-C, so far so good.

Anyway to manually lock a file? Say if I see someone go through a red light.. is there a button I can press to lock that file so it doesn't get over written like A118c?

Members are not allowed to delete threads, only DashCamMan can do it. Anyway, did you find out which button to press to lock files on the G1W-C?
 
Yup, sure did... it's the top right button (next to the power button)

You pressed it and a lock key should appear on your screen to show the file being locked.

AMAZING Dashcam... much better than the A118C that I used to have.. for those wanting to get a A118c, I high recommend you checking out this first.
 
Fortunately the C is still being manufactured with the Novatek/Aptina combo, unlike the H that now is just a piece of crap.

Interesting observation. I found my A118-Cs to be much better, both video quality and reliability. Could be the G1Ws were from a different source.

Depends on where you get your A118C really..mine was from Gearbest.. POS plastic lens that was terrible.

Well, one was terrible.. the other one basically die 2 months after I received it and after spending 2 months talking to them about exchange/refund.. they basically ignore me after that... =(

That would explain it. Mine came from @spytec and both have been as solid as the Rock of Gibraltar - so far. Night video could be better but that's true of many cameras - especially was comparing to an SG9665GC.
 
Ah - yes. That could explain a lot of things... Gearbest stuff that they sell.. I don't know, the name of the shop is pretty misleading. =D
