Mini 0801/Mini 0803 side-by-side video comparison

We haven't seen much Mini 0803 footage so far, and no footage in comparison to the Mini 0801, so we put this short video together. Featuring day, evening and night time footage. Be sure to watch at the highest quality possible. We'd be interested to hear everyone's thoughts.

Based only on your video, 0801 seems to be much better.
But, I have compared real files (not youtube) of 0801 and 0803, the 0803 was a little better for me, if we don't care the Renoir effect or the 0803..

Did you activate WDR on the 0803 ?
What was the firmware version ?

It's good to see a well performed side by side comparison video such as this, with exactly the same conditions for both cams, which makes it a "fairer" battle between the cams. I'd love to hear the answers chris-s wanted too though, since they could be quite essential to put things into perspective. The 0801 has been around the block for a while, the 0803 is still a work in progress with room for improvement.

Hi, I put these details in the videos YouTube description but, of course, you don't see that as I embedded the video!

The Mini 0801 was recording at 1080p and the Mini 0803 at 1296p, with WDR switched on. Mini 0803 firmware: 20140510V1.

Ouch, that doesn't seem all too good for the 0803 then Any other worthwhile differences you've experienced while handling/using both cams?

Night video is much brighter on the Mini 0803, so that is a big plus for it compared to the Mini 0801.

Just as a comparison, here's another video. I want to add some out-of-town footage to this as I think that'll be interesting to see, but it'll do for now.

I also agree 0801 appears clearer in your video, especially when you were passing the trees and grass on left side, I can see more detail on those leaves and grass in 0801. The night video definitely showing the 0803 has brighter scenes but clarity again not as good as 0801.
