Hi all first post !

I have just purchased a new mini 0806 after owning an 0805 for some time..my test runs however are a bit soft/ blurry, particularly on the right side where pausing cant read a number plate on a passing car 3 metres away...disappointed ,this is definitely not HD sharp. This is on superfine setting at the highest resolution and default exposure levels..is there anything i can do here? The other issue so far is the mic - how do i switch it on/off there is no setting? thanks

Thanks ...i was under the impression that was an early batch issue. Is it still a problem even in something i bought yesterday (apparently batch 5).... do you know where the mic on/off is btw? or am i missing something really obvious ...

You press and hold either the upper or lower button for mic (I think) if lens is out of focus its operator error during assembly, if focus is off on one side its most likely just a faulty lens, it happens

has anyone found a way into the 0806 without damaging it !

ahh that's the one, hold upper button same as 0805 doh i was looking in the menu! thankyou very much ! Ill monitor the soft blur issue Today in full sunlight with/without cpl and report back .

After a few days image quality definitely seems a bit too "soft" considering it's spec, particularly to the right.

might send it back and try again .

yeah to the right especially doesn't look great under any light ..thanks

Tapping the top (up) button - not holding it - while it's recording will toggle the mic on/off. You'll see the little microphone icon with(out) a red line through it as you toggle it. Holding the button, when not actually recording, will put you in the menu mode.

a complain have been send to production manager.

please return the camera for a new replacement.

Thanks @Rayman.Chan ..I have a replacement now from my local supplier and it appears much more consistant. Will update .

If the lens focus is off you should talk to the seller about having the camera replaced

I've just received my mini 0806, is it possible to setup everything while connected to my desktop pc, and if so, what connections do I need. I've watched YouTube videos on the setup menu for the camera itself, that I get, but I have never seen where the source power to supply the camera in these videos. The videos are obviously shot inside and not in a vehicle. The weather is terrible and the space in the car is cramped, but then it will be cramped when I attempt to do the physical install.
Any suggestions/help will be much appreciated.
Thanks.
