I'll be using Blackvue DR400G-HD in the rental car and in order to have it working in park mode the battery holder box as shown here is utilized with cigarette lighter soldered to it ( voltage display is also soldered to the box):

I'll be using rechargeable batteries. Any idea what's the minimum voltage that this Blackvue can be working?

This has a 12v out if you put normal batteries since 1.5*8=12v. Since I'm using rechargeables at 1.3v the voltage out will be around 10.5v

That is too many rechargeable batteries to be connected in series, once one empties it will get damaged by the others forcing power through it and some of the batteries will not survive for many recharges.

How about using a normal USB power bank with 5V output and adding a 5 - 12V step up regulator into the power cable such as: https://www.proto-pic.co.uk/pololu-...JMbY0n4yt586kElS06l1C4BN8-Sci1-AFUaAiEy8P8HAQ
