Mobius Action Cam problem

I'm away from home for a while, so don't have access to my PC, so cannot post screenshots of my GUI settings, etc.

I don't think there's anything fundamentally wrong with your Mobius. For an increased chance of resolving your problem, I suggest that you also post at

http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1904559&page=321

There's a huge amount of knowledge on tap there. Keep your post concise, but include all relevant info like firmware version, etc. Include your GUI settings screenshots.

Being an RC Aircraft thread, they don't welcome dashcam-related posts, however, they do like to help people to resolve problems with their Mobius cam. Good luck.

I've continued to do further tests and have discovered that the camera works satisfactorily now apart from the fact that I lose the last clip even though Power Off Disconnect is set at Disabled unless I press the Shutter button to stop the recording. To test the battery I ran the camera on record using 1080p and its own battery (and without external source connection) and it ran down after 40 minutes. Connected up to computer to recharge but the green light went off after 30 minutes then comes on again for about 20 seconds then goes off again and repeats on then off, on then off. Anyone else had this? I am under the impression that the green light should only go off once the battery is fully charged. If that is the case is it the camera or the battery at fault?

Having seen the replies to your posts at RCGroups, it appears that is your new Möbius has a faulty battery.

JooVuu say that very few faults are reported by buyers, & that they usually prove to be caused by faulty batteries.

If you imported it from China, then it's very inconvenient. If, however, you bought it from a UK supplier, it should be quick and easy to get it sorted.

I had the same problem If dashcam is plugged into USB port before ignition is on, then if you do not start car straight away within 5 seconds, then it seems to reset.

Starting the car diverts the power away from the camera to ignition.

The camera senses this and switches off.

As others have said, plug in Usb after starting car, seems to work everytime.

You should find that problem gone with v2.10 and v2.18. That has been my experience

Same here. After installing fw2.18 the start-up problem is gone. The short cut of power when the engine cranks does no longer make the camera shut off. Excellent!
