This is interesting and it looks like it has potential. I use Windows (7) via a virtual machine on my Mac to configure the Mobius, so I don't necessarily need this but it would be great if you could use this web based GUI on an iPad web browser and transfer the text file to the Mobius out in the field. Unfortunately, as far as I know, Apple makes it virtually impossible to transfer a text file to an SD card connected via lightning adapter cable. Maybe some intrepid developer will eventually come up with an App that can do this.

Thanks. This is great, but really wish it had a time-sync feature as well.
The author has posted that the GUI is still early beta, so it wouldn't surprise me if he'll add a time-sync at some time. However, I don't think you can expect accurate time like obtained by the Windows GUI or the Android app. Maybe 30 seconds accuracy or less would be a good value. It also depends how and when you do the magic keypresses. In the early #11 days I wrote a time-sync program which would set the time with an accuracy within a second if the user pressed the buttons exactly when told to do so.

I'm thinking of a scheme that sets the time to be say 5 minutes ahead. Then the user times his "magic keypresses" to that time.

Hi guys, I am the author of the gui and wanted to let you know the app is definitely still in beta, but I added a time sync function.
At the moment you can either chose to leave the time as previously set on the camera or to sync it to your computer's clock when you press the generate button. This means you have to instantly load the new file to the camera if you don't want to have any lag... It goes without saying, I'm going to implement a +5 minutes option very soon, but at the moment I had to prioritize some other features!

The most important thing though is now the GUI has its own domain name which is www.mobiusgui.com

Hope you like it and wait for your feedback!

Thanks for your efforts! Looking forward to further development for this GUI. As I mentioned previously, I use a Windows VM on a Mac to configure the Mobius but I am going to have to kick the tires and take this GUI for a spin around the block!

Could we do this:
  1. Default is to not change the timeset.
  2. If you choose to set the time, it uses current {website} time plus a delay. Maybe 2 possible delays to account for situations. A UTC offset will be needed.
  3. You save, unplug, and wait to hit "load"....
  4. When TIME arrives, the web interface Beeps/Flashes/whatever. So the user need not watch the clock, just await the alert.
Comments?

Sounds like a good idea! I may implement this soon! Thanks for the suggestion!

I just wanted to let you know I updated the web app and implemented that function. Now the user has the ability to sync the time to 5 minutes forward. A 5 minutes countdown is shown so the user knows when to launch the upload procedure. Hope this helps, no sound/flash/whatever at the moment, but it might come in a next update!

Hi iacopo, thanks for making this tool. I have used it several months ago, but when I tried again today, the site says the website is not renewed. Is this a temporary thing, or is it gone now?

Unfortunately, development of the web-based GUI has ended. See here.
There is still a Mac program available here, although I don't think it supports the latest firmware yet.
