i have just purchased this from joovuu.

is there some type of software i download? and where from?


how do i change the settings of this camera when it is plugged into the computer?

do i need the memory card in first?

It's super easy to use, so don't worry, just read the manual before.

And yes, you do need a memory card inserted first, otherwise, your PC will only see the camera as a webcam.

Does having a better Micro SD card influence how good the quality of the video is?

i was thinking of a SD card with a write speed of 20 MB/s, or would a 10 MB/s just do fine?

No!
In fact, having a faster card may introduce compatibility problems. The recommended cards are class 4 and no higher. However, most higher class ratings will work fine.
You'll be able to copy files faster from your card to your PC with a higher class rated card but there will be absolutely no difference in the video quality.
BTW, the video quality will always be the same. If the card were too slow you would get a missed frame or two which would result in a jerky video. Even good quality (e.g. Sandisk) class 2 cards work perfectly in the Mobius.

Also set your Mobius to Standard video data rate rather than High. There is little or no discernible difference in video quality. The Standard setting will give you more record time.
