New dash cam G1W

Sorry but i have to tell you, you probably bought a Fake G1W there.

Can't be a real one. The real G1W's use .MOV
 
Another give away would be that they seem to go to some great lengths to avoid showing the side where the HDMI port should be with some tricky pictures.
 
Why don't you say which store you bought it from? It would certainly help others avoid the same fate if it really is a fake.

I also would like to know this info as I may wish to purchase another GW - 1. I also did notice the front was blue. Would this be an earlier model?
 
JMO, here in states "Spytec" does sell the "Real Deal" @ a fair price ($51.00 US) delivered to your door. They are located in Brooklyn. NY and offer the
G1W & the G1WC.

Sorry to say if your camera shoots AVI it is a imposture!
 
The 'funny' thing is, that listed under the camera features on the link that the OP provided, it is listed as recording in AVI. and MOV. format.
 
unless he posts a link to the actual one purchased it's not much use commenting on this one from another seller
