Hi newbie here,could anyone tell if the above can be updated via smartphone and nextbase app,I know the 422 can as we have two,wondering about the 322 as daughter wants one.

Yes the 322GW can be updated with the smartphone app, it will also let you know when/if it needs updated

yeah, I used to use the 322GW as my main cam, if you have any questions ask away
