Hi Guys,
I recently purchased a 622GW to replace my old 522GW which has been hardwired using the official Hardwired Kit.
It has been working fine for a number of weeks but has recently started to constantly reset after about 20 minutes.
I moved the small power supply to my dashboard to monitor it (You may recall that it has a small Blue LED to indicate status):
Flashing Blue to indicate "Input OK"
Steady Blue to indicate "Input and Output OK".

After about 20 minutes it started intermittently alternating between steady and flashing.
The Power indicator on the camera was also alternating between "Battery Power" and "Hardwired Power".
I have checked the connections and they are all fine so would this indicate that the small power supply itself has gone faulty or could there be another reason that I have overlooked?

I'd be grateful for any insights before I purchase another Hardwired Kit.
Thanks for any suggestions.

If you've checked/verified that your wire connection end points are all good and that fuses are intact, the next step is to measure the voltage at the end of your power supply wiring to see what is going on. Unless you use a volt meter while trying to troubleshoot electronics, you're kinda flying blind.

Here are some USB power meters that might be useful:

Generic Digital Multi Meter:

Each tool is cheap enough and you can use it for other tasks as well.

Thanks for the response.
I have a multi-meter so will see if I can find the correct points to test later today.
Based on reading other posts I may also try using the cigarette lighter attachment to power the camera for a while.
If that succeeds it will confirm my suspicion that it's the actual small block (voltage regulator?) that is at fault.

I'll update this thread with my findings. πŸ‘

Hi Guys,
Just a follow up to this thread.
I tried powering the camera with the cigarette socket and it worked flawlessly for over an hour which definitely confirms my suspicions about the voltage regulator in the hardwired kit.
I installed the kit to power my previous 522GW 2 or 3 years ago so I can't really grumble I suppose (nothing lasts forever). πŸ˜’

I'm off to buy another hardwired kit and hopefully that'll last me another 2 or 3 years. πŸ‘
Cheers .......
