I live in nyc and i drive local most of the time. In the summer I drive much more out of the city. My car is a sports car so I don't want it to big. I guess i am looking for best quality with best features in a small unit. I have been reading and watching videos of the best of the best and that makes it even more confusing.

The best known and the most expensive ?? :-)

*** It would be a good idea to sort out the requirements in your head and then start choosing.

*** it would be good not to rely on the opinion of others but to get acquainted with the features, limitations and functions of dashcam ... I recommend the channel https://www.youtube.com/@blackboxmycar

*** and best of sketches on the web https://www.blackboxmycar.com/

As was already said, decide what it is you want as a first step and go from there. 'Best Features' is not a criteria anyone can help you with because everyone has different requirements. Best for me is reliability, everything else is secondary. Others think that 4K resolution is paramount, while yet others feel it's cost. The same can be said for 'best quality' which is even harder to define.

You could begin your research here - https://dashcamtalk.com/best-dash-cams-of-2024/ and here - https://dashcamtalk.com/comparison-tool/

I don't recommend using any vendor's website as they obviously will be biased towards the products they sell, which is driven by profit potential for them more than anything.

Welcome to the forum Fantom666.

just 1 channel, and small then you should have the Viofo A 119 mini 2 in the mix, it is small it have the new hardware, and it seem to use it pretty good too.
