I was prolly a little slow on the Brakes.
Really don't want to slam on the Brakes on the Highway like that anyway.

The Black Car/Prius was further back in the left lane.
And the Red SUV was directly behind me.
He waved at me as he went by.
Guess he was happy he didn't have to run over a dead Animal.

Really glad I didn't hit it, last truck/(last time I hit a Deer) the truck had a Metal Bumper.
This one is all plastic, would not have been pretty.

Yeah the plastic bumpers is only forgiving up to a certain speed, and thats usioally a low speed.

Beautiful day all around!

neither one of the deer seemed to be in any hurry...
They aren't a lot of times, I prefer it that way...
Guess I have a better chance of avoiding them that way.
Even though it would be considered non preventable.

Beautiful day all around!
Yes it was and this is actually a nice drive.
I 84, going East coming from Portland.
I would recommend going West though, it's closer to the River (Columbia River) also there are a few Rest/Parking Areas which are not accessible from EB Side.

I noticed you have a large spiral map book up on the dash. Do you buy the new road atlas edition each year or use the one you have for a while?
