Disastrophe

Howdy, i just got my first dash cam, a vantrue e1 pro. I installed it in my 21 silverado via the obd port. For some reason it stays running doing a cobstant loop recording even with the truck shut off. I have parking mode disabled on the camera. I thought the cam would turn off when the truck wasnt running. What am i missibg here? Or will i just have to unplug it every time i park?
