I am thinking about getting the new black vue LTE model along with their external battery. I know the battery can be hardwired to the fuse box for faster charging or to the ciagrette lighter for slower charge. I am curious to know if its possible to power the external battery from the obd port. Blackvue seems to have an OBD cable and it looks like from the image it is joined in some way. Or is there a different obd cable that can do this? And disadvantages if possible? Im not against doing it from the fuse box but if there is an easier way I would prefer to go that route.
