Hi all.

I have a 0801 and I'm taking the car over to northern Spain in the summer where the days can get pretty hot. I can't seem to find any information on whether or not I would be risking the continuing functionality of my Dashcam if it were exposed to temperatures inside the car where the outside is often 30-35 Celsius and was often in direct sunlight - something of a greenhouse.

I would like to think there wouldn't be a problem as many cars around the world would sit in temperatures greater than that, but it would be good to know if anyone has experience or data on recommended operating temperature ranges? The E-Prance website isn't particularly forthcoming with this.

There are temperature limitations of hardware but most sensitive part is Lipo battery. If you drive and record continiously in car with working AC then it should be fine, but again its all depend on how intensive and for how long period is direct sun. And leaving Lipo dashcam in hot weather parked car is not a good idea. Those are some tips.

Thanks Niko. Useful info there.

I tend to run the camera on constant loop whether or not I'm in the car. I guess from what you're saying it might make sense to run it on sensor mode while I'm in such temperatures?

No matter what rec you chose, most important is having an AC ON when driving and removing dashcam when car is parked.
