Hey fellow devs and dash cam enthusiasts,
I’ve been working on integrating remote access and secure data syncing for dash cam footage, especially in bandwidth-restricted areas. During testing, I found that Stag VPN (available on Android) provides a surprisingly stable and fast VPN connection—especially helpful when footage needs to be uploaded or accessed securely from cloud storage services.
What stood out:
It’s become part of my dev stack when testing real-time uploads and encrypted transfers from the dash cam mobile client.
Has anyone here tried using a VPN layer like this in your software stack or apps? Any pros/cons you've experienced?
Would love to hear your take or suggestions.
Cheers!

What stood out:
- No registration required
- Free to use with solid speeds
- Works with apps like Dropbox, Google Drive, etc., even under network restrictions
