How do I record MPH on the screen? does it allow this?

I have all the options turned on but didn't see anything other than the time stamp.

also, I get these random ding ding's as i drive around. I have no idea what those sounds mean. sometimes it's 1 ding other times its 2.

There is no OSD option for speed in last firwmare.
I wonder when developers will implement this basic feature for a GPS Dashcam... 🙄

You can use registrator Viewer and create subtitles with date/time/speed

I like that speed is not on OSD, works to our advantage if we make a small error with speed (like most people maybe 5-10%) if there is an incident.
With logs we can give this information or not 🙂

I agree, but it definitively should be a user choice 😉

I had/have these too at random times and my LDWS is switched OFF!!

However a few times the screen happened to be ON, when these mysterious dings came & I noticed a short message in red on screen.
Some thing like "Low speed signal". Unfortunately this message font is too small to read and the message disappears quickly...

I suspect its complaining about the SD card possibly ? (I use an original class 10 Sandisk)

Strange... I'm quite sure that this message is not "low speed"...
Isn't it "low battery" ?
Don't you have a mount issue ?
Try to plug the power to the cam instead of to the mount.

I was digging around the firmware strings file to see the internal messages, so its either
"Low Battery !!" or "Low speed card!"

When the unit gives the low battery warning, there is no error beep before shutting down (except the shutdown sound)
However, this one is a long beep and the until continues to function normally.

But yes, the mount is generally flimsy, I will tape this up to be more solid, possibly its losing power intermittently (and causing card writing errors?) when i am driving around..

So you have probably an issue with SD card, try another
