Overtaking on wrong side of road with oncoming traffic

I was more shocked by the stupidity of this move rather than how dangerous it was.
But imagine if a pedestrian had been crossing in front of me. I'm in a van that can't be seen through so the driver had no way of knowing, and the way I slowed down early could easily have been to allow someone to cross.

Fair point, I suspect they did wait once upon a time, now they just don't give a damn
