Parking mode should be built in to the camera

Parking mode should really be built into the camera and be adjustable via software settings. Setting things like, Auto-off after x min or x voltage should be easy to setup. That way, I don't have to buy another accessory... Also, I'd be able to wire up my cam to the Powered Rearview mirror instead of running cable to the fuse box.

it could be done in a lot of the 12v cams, 5v cams though are not so straightforward

What camera's have built in cut-offs?

The only one I know is the

Livue LB100 - Cuts off by time or if voltage goes to 11.8V for 30 sec.

Cameras should have self-cut off and have the ability to take power from the rear-view mirror!
