PC software for viewing/editing dash cam footage?

I did a search here and found that the most recent threads (with one exception) are about MAC/Linux.

So what are the most-used, stable, useful (and preferably free) programs for manipulating/viewing dash cam footage?

A lot of the software available for Linux is also available for both mac & windows. For example, I use kdenlive for editing video on Linux, but it is available for all three OSs: https://kdenlive.org/en/download/

Thank you for the link - it's much appreciated!

As a side-note, in the past I've used versions of Ubuntu for setting up a Plex server on a pi 4 (with variable degrees of success.)

I'm not at all comfortable or knowledgeable enough to do more with it, though...
