I have a 522gw installed as part of my car purchase. Its worked fine for 3 years but looks now to have suffered the common internal battery failure as it wont run in car and if removed and fully charged via a separate supply it will only last around 30 seconds.
I've bought a new 522gw but when plugged into car, the battery charge is very intermittent. I've found the series 2 power unit NBDVRS2HK-B which shows flashing blue for ok input and solid blue for ok output which then starts flashing as soon as dashcam fires up - so it appears to no longer be able to fully power the camera (including when rear cam is disconnected).
So my question is could the failure of the 522gw internal battery have caused a consequential failure of the NBDVRS2HK-B?
Want to identify the fault before I either try to fix myself or get an auto electrician onto it.
Anyone else experienced this issue?
