Hello collective wisdom,

Brand new F800 PRO here with rear cam and hardwiring kit. I did the hardwiring myself. After having it done a few times on my and my friends cars, I'm pretty sure I did it correctly:
  • the vehicle is 2015 Subaru Impreza
  • the red and yellow wires both are connected through "add a circuit" taps w/ double fuses
  • the red wire goes to the brake light fuse which is constant source. I can measure 12.5V on the exit of the tap when the key is either on or off positions.
  • the yellow wire goes to the "accessory" fuse which is switched source of power. . I can measure 12.5V on the exit of the tap when the key is in on position only.
  • both taps are installed correctly from load/draw perspective.
  • ...and, of course, the black wire goes to the "ground" (metal frame).

The camera works only while the ignition is on. The camera shuts off immediately after the key is removed from ignition. This cannot be due to incorrect grounding, or else the camera wouldn't turn on even on switched power, correct? To my understanding this can happen in either one of the following is true:
  • the only source of power is the yellow wire (switched power)
  • the camera doesn't recognize that it's connected through the hardwiring kit
Any troubleshooting advice?
Thanks,
Michael
