Yeah I took the survey, but for some questions it'd be nice to expand a little. Like the question about where we'd want the LTE module located. There's pros and cons to all the approaches (dashcam, external LTE module, hardwire cable) and some of that stuff varies based on things like how much bigger it'd make the dashcam to have it integrated and what impacts to heat dissipation there'd be.
 
Survey didn't send any kind of confirmation email. Guessing they go through these things and evaluate one by one.

Surveymonkey never sends confirmation emails, you just finish it and that's it

I selected external LTE Module on survey. The more components that get integrated, the more heat generation that occurs, and more points of failure. I like Vantrue's approach to an external LTE Module. It also allows for a more direct placement on windshield to capture a signal.

Cloud Dashcams are the future. I absolutely love the ability to remote into my Vantrue Cameras and pull off video from afar.

+1 for external Lte module, same for me with 70mai LTE module that I've been using. Even in blinding summer heat it doesn't get super hot compared to the dashcam itself, but it's still heat.

And heat in an already hot enclosure doesn't help so it's one of those things that I'm happy to be separate from the dashcam itself.

There may come a point where the dashcam chipsets are efficient enough that they don't generate much heat, and then maybe 4G/5G modules can be incorporated. But until that day, no thanks...

Not sure, Redtiger and wolfbox are still a work in progress, much like DDPAI. Vantrue , Viofo and 70mai I'm more than happy with how they are progressing with feedback and improving their products over the years...
