First photo after receiving S1 Pro Max
Thanks to Jeff and the Vantrue team for providing the S1 Pro Max sample

First impression
A very interesting model, the quality of the premium DVR, the camera hinge allows you to very accurately set the center and horizon line, the recorder is attached to the GPS module very tightly without any play, an additional camera can be installed both inside the car and outside.

I think the S1 is my favorite Vantrue, when it come to shape.
Also i think the lens also allow for some L/R adjustment, if it do that it is cool and not very many allow for this.
Not something most people will need, but if you are forced to install a little offset on the windscreen, the ability to adjust lens sideways is super nice.

That tilting lens is an excellent implementation mechanism! Makes it perfect to adjust the framing even if placement isn’t ideal. Previously, the E1 Pro was my fav, but the S1 Pro Max is like a dual E1 Pro plus more features and functionality. Both have reasonably small form factors and excellent image detail.

Yes, why do you ask?
Interested to know whats the total power draw with both these devices to see if its feasible to operate them from a power pack. I am waiting for my s1 pro max to arrive.

I’ve measured just about 8w with both cameras running and no LTE. I thought I saw someone mentioned the LTE uses just less than 1w, but I don’t have one to measure.

I'll see what I can do. I have the S1 Pro Max and LT01 connected to a hardwire kit. I'll see if I can fit a USB-C power meter on the USB cord.

We are slowly mastering the new S1PRO Max.
The recorder includes new functions, ADAS, driver fatigue, tracking approaching another car and pedestrians, if all functions are active it will not be boring in the car, it is useful for those who can be distracted from the road, a lot of flexible settings, and finally the menu can be scrolled in both directions.
Once again I would like to draw the manufacturer's attention to add a resolution of 3840 * 1600 / 2.40: 1 (21: 9) to the menu and raise the bitrate for 4K

Autumn video on RuTube, original in the video description.
