Conclusion: Almost perfect design but needs to address few things as mentioned below.
Pros: Very small design, very discrete. Only 32mm square.
Video quality is good where it's in focus.
MicroSD card is on the back so easy to put in and take out.
Mount has two options, mount holder or directly attach the mount.
Cons: Right side is slightly OOF.
(Update:
Update, for some reason, the OOF issue is not that noticeable now if at all.
I didn't change anything except pointed it little bit to the left and right side looks in focus compared to initial tests.
So it could be my windshield reflection.)

AE struggles when scene changes like under the trees, when clouds are in the sky. It makes the whole sky white at times. Roads are still good so it's good where it's needed and camera's angle can change it.
Audio is very low and has hiss noise. Will test again to check if microphone has any settings.

I don't know why, but I like cube design dashcams... How does this one compare with the Rock Autobot Eye that is going for ~$70 now?

Video Quality is better on Autobot due to higher VBR, 13mbps vs 8mbps.
Audio also is better on Autobot.
Size advantage goes to Xplore C1 as it's smaller and also has bluetooth remote to record 12s video clip on demand.

why VBR is so low?
It's kind of nullify 1080 resolution by killing all details
is it CPU / SoC limitation?

Not sure.
It doesn't mention what chip/processor it's using except the sensor is CMOS.
It does have H.264 decoding in AVI format so could be ambarella but not sure.

Xplore C1 uses South Korea ZeeAnn CMOS sensor and Eyenix CPU. Those are quite popular on Korean dashcams.

Thanks for info.
So the question is, do all dashcams based on those have low VBR due to limitation?

I am not sure if "all dashcams", but so far most I have seen on this Chipset with WiFi have low bit-rate. Probably it's due to CPU limitations.
