So, When the Scout Terra or Traveler come out, they have a USB C on each side of the Dash Bar on top of the dash. Its ideal for mounting a Dashcam and even the Telephoto, say of an A329T.

However, has anyone changed their Hardwire kit to a USB-C to plug into a likely 2A or less, 5V USB C port on the Scout Dash?

We have a while to create one.

Thanks

To Answer my own question,

I guess as long as the USB-C power is 5 V and 2A, then the A329T should just need a short USB-C to USB-C cable. I looked up the specs on the current A329 dual and its 5V and 2A.

A329T should be the same with a front, Telephoto and rear, which is what I'm interested in.

A '4 Channel' with interior camera and the above would be great! I know, doesn't exist yet.

You are going to mount the dash cam on the dash bar, not at the top of the windshield?

If it makes installation easier I would. No hardwiring as I just did on my Daughter's with an A229 Pro. Not too painful on her Honda CR-V although I had to decrease the recharge amp draw to 6.5 A for the battery backup battery. I kept blowing fuses at 9 Amps for the BlackBoxMyCar 8 battery for parking. Routing wires for the rear a pain, as always. I wish new cars had USB C pre-installed to accept just placing cameras and plugging in where you wanted.

I guess I'm not so worried about placement for view on the Dash, even for the Telephoto but more concerned for the connection wires to the Backup Battery, Telephoto camera and rear camera. Not sure how the unit will look/view on the Dash Bar. Other cameras might work better since the Viofo's are angled to be windshield mounted.

Just my thoughts.

I wish all cars had Rivian/Tesla like batteries but Viofo like audio recording and better resolution and night recording capabilities.

Cheers
