Updated first post, thanks.
Oh yeah nice same one I'm on. Was provided beta version of that firmware for testing myself then they did final a week later 🙂

Did some small testing today.

Settings:
HDR-Timer, so HDR=Off
With CPL-Filter

Without PlatePix
NoPlateFix1_4.378.1.jpg

With PlatePix
PlateFix1_3.765.1.jpg

Just the A329 as Benchmark/Comparison (The Blackvue is also very strong in this situations but completly falls apart at night)
A329 as benchmark_2.859.1.jpg

Another Sample
No PlatePix
NoPlateFix2_4.378.1_4.378.2.jpg

PlatePix
platefix2_3.765.2.jpg

With the plate-fix you can pretty sure that the plate is "539-VF"
Without plate-fix there is no chance to get every letter.

My conclusion regarding daytime-footage.
The footage with PlatePix is clearly darker/less exposed.

Sometimes there is a difference in license plate capturing. That difference is minor but existing and sometimes it CAN lead to better license plate capturing.
I did no night comparison yet. But so far I would recommend using PlatePix.

(Also tested the capturing-feature for Vueroid, there I can see no differences at daytime)

Firmware version? PlatePix not PlateFix heh

Yeah same findings I think really when it comes to exposure

Corrected 🤣
Firmware is the last one from the website: N4P_VT-EDI241

At night I didn`t found any situations where PlatePix made a difference in license plate capturing.

Higher contrast, easier to read license plate. Yes.
But on a 30min country-road-test-drive I found exactly no situation where you can read the Plate with PlatePix while you can`t with standart-settings.

Just a comparison for the exposure.

Standart
ev night1_1.1058.1.webp

PlatePix
ev night2_2.888.1.webp

PlatePix seems like a technological revolution.

Same findings for me, I wonder what they're doing to get it down to this but it seems to be working well enough.

The AWB and contrast were modified to be what it is now, in the firmware version that you and DadiT are testing. Not sure if there will be further refinements coming
