Any tips?

Doesn't need to be fancy, just a really cheap display for my ITB-100HD.

I remember I saw on ebay and aliexpress starting from $16 the one used for rear cameras. Try a search for TFT monitor and order the results by ascending price.
For me the ideal place is to put it on the right sun visor using some velcro. My AV25 can stay there using just two pieces of small velcro.

MCM Electronics has a lot of accessories for the Raspberry Pi credit-card sized computer, including little composite video LCD monitors. Some have exposed circuit boards, so you will have to devise some sort of case. Others are more finished - like a small monitor. You will also need to check the required voltage. The coin appearing in most of the photos is a US quarter dollar - about 15mm diameter.

First up (1.5 inch diagonal):

Next (a bit bigger at 3.5 inches):

More (4.3 inches, no exposed circuitry, maybe the best choice):

Finally (the biggest at 7 inches, and no exposed circuitry. I got this one for testing my ITB-100HD, but not for a permanent connection. It works nicely.):

The ribbon type is not good for our goal.

Regarding your latest two products look on the back of the monitors and because the latest one is flat, you can stick it on the sun visor like I described or use some mount. I don't agree to have any gadgets visible on the middle of the dashboard.

For traffic recording the monitor is not needed and you must look forward to drive and not in some monitor. Maybe is needed when you adjust the dash cam or you really want to watch some video. I have a monitor in my car and never used it because I didn't have the opportunity to show somebody a video and even if I want this, is not possible because the camera doesn't have a playback mode.
I hope they offer better quality for the price than chinese ebay products.

rnjoy,
Mtz

Wow many thanks for the amazingly useful replies.

Yes I agree, it's really only for camera adjustment than constant use - indeed, itronics only allow current view, not replays. Many useful options here.

Time to research!

And this is a good reason for me to want the ITB-250HD. Because it is wireless I can play the files from Itronics card, transfer only the interesting very easy and don't care about loop mode erasing some video. Because of this I can use also a smaller card.
And also I have the needed display which is my Android smartphone. So the Android smartphone is needed and with the increasing smartphone users this will be a must in the future, because I think the future is very small dashcams with Wi-Fi.

This is not offtopic because some users are searching for monitors before buying the camera for a complete setup and they can compare the 100HD (which have 1080p and GPS) to the 250HD (720p, Wi-Fi, no GPS).

you can look at having one of these:

It's a rear view mirror with monitor built-in. I use to use one but now I have a monitor builtin to my stereo
