Maybe all the concentrated grid energy messed with their GPS, which they were blindly following. Any excuse is better than none!

We Danes are building 400 Km new kilovolt transmissions lines to feed viking link to the UK and power to / from Germany too, but not as much of it as planned can be dug down after all, so to compensate other smaller lines will be stepped up and put in the ground faster.
In general we only have the parts of the very largest transmission lines in the air, smaller stuff and phone ASO went in the ground decades ago.
Maybe thats why now some people will complain if a new wind turbine are put up so they can see it, even if it is a turbine out to sea.
