I recently installed my T800 and it is working great.
I got an AT&T data SIM (as recommended) and it seems to connect OK and shows that it works when I run diagnostics.
However, I am never able to pull up the real-time feed.

It gives an error "Fail to acquire - Please check the network connection status of the 4G module and then try again".
I've tried it when it's in different areas of town to ensure it's not a coverage/signal issue.
Has anyone else had this issue?

I am getting battery tracking and parking monitor notifications, so I know the data SIM is working.

Welcome to the forum SlasherKG.

I use a regular SIM card, not a data dedicated one.
Using the #2 largest Danish network it have been smooth sailing aside for very first time i had to put SIM card in phone and remove / disable look for PIN code on every startup.

If i was you i would temporarily of course try to use your phone SIM or maybe the wifes one.

I am not aware of any saying it MUST be a phone SIM card used and not a full fledged data ( only ?? ) card

Thank you, I know it's not the SIM itself as it shows connected (green) and I tested it in a phone just to be sure.
There is no PIN needed on it either.
I'm getting battery voltage monitoring data and parking surveillance notifications, so the data is connected.
It just seems to be the live feed not working.

Others who have the 4G module on other models I've seen posted state that they use data only SIMs just fine, so I'm trying to find out if this is something specific to this newer camera model.
Or perhaps some other diagnostics that can be done (the built-in one says there's no problem found and it is connected).

for me 4G have worked excellent on the T800, on the other hand the vantrue S1pro MAX have been somewhat of a struggle, and it is in no way as fluent and snappy as the T800 is.

I have contemplated making a head 2 head video with the 4G performance of the two. ( Same SIM card i use on both of course, a Danish pension do not allow for running 3 SIM cards.

OK, thanks.

I just ordered a SIM for a different carrier, so maybe that will work better.

I know many US networks require you to call them and give them the IMEI of the device, to activate.

I have the same problem like you last month. My t-mobile data only sim card works and shows 4G online, I can see battery monitoring, but when I tried to remote view, the same message showed up "Fail to acquire - Please check the network connection status of the 4G module and then try again". After trouble shooting myself for last whole month, found out that my 4G unit module was giving the issue, it happens to me during the hot day time, everyday, seems like the heat has somehow affected on the 4G unit, I have to disconnect the usb cable and reconnect again. Seen like usb cable loose connection in someway, and unable to reconnect unless I have physically disconnected and reconnected again. Also as a reminder, the usb c cable included with 4G module is tailored made by 70mai, and confirmed with customer service, you can't use other generic cable. 70mai customer service is great, after I reached out to them, and they sent me new 4G module free, and after installation new unit, my remote view is currently working fine for now. I hope it helps you.

Funny enough my new T-Mobile SIM that I got works perfectly.

Thanks to everyone for the input.
