Just installed the F750 last night and am comparing it to the BlackVue cams I have. The video quality on the F750 is way better than the BlackVue DR600GW-HD and DR3500-FHD.
The auto exposure is much more intelligent on this. On a sunny day it has bright vivid colors even though I aligned the cam to show more sky than my dash. On the BlackVue 600 and 3500 I have to aim the cams much lower to show more dash than sky or else it will dim it too much and can barely see anything. I haven't compared this to my DR650 dual channel yet.
File sizes are 80MB each for front and back
Front 10Mbps
Rear 8Mbps
Front videos are much sharper and clearer than the rear files even though they have the same file sizes. The extra 2Mbps bit rate makes a difference.
From power on to starting continuous recording was about 20 seconds.
Updating the firmware to v1.00.12 was easy. Just extract the files to the root of the SD card and power it up. Takes a couple minutes to load the new files.
The wifi is fast when it works for streaming and downloading. Sometimes it will not connect to my iphone 6 with a error message. Most the time when I click to view a file it will pop up a message in Korean and I have to close the message, click the video again a couple times then I can view it on the phone. I'm guessing the error message pops up because it haven't buffered the video onto my phone yet. Also if you have your phone connected to the camera the continuous recording will stop.
There is a Video overwrite setting in the app to set what type of files to overwrite when the card is full. Looks like I can set it so event files do not get overwritten. BlackVue app does not have this option.
I have a problem with the ThinkWare iphone app. Yesterday I was able to download video files to the app and it shows up under Videos Downloaded and I can view it no problem. Today I went to view the same files but every time I click on the video file it will crash the app.
Unlike BlackVue, there is no option to turn off the gps and operation LED lights. The rear cam has a bright blue LED always lit up.
The rear cam is a great size but the front is bit bulky and the colors attract attention unlike the BlackVue being all black. The grey 3M sticky is ugly as well.
Overall, it's a great price for a dual channel 1080P cam that I purchased at $349CAD on sale. Hopefully future improvements to the firmware or app makes the wifi more stable and perhaps also an option to disable all LED lights.
