Thinkware FXD700 @ CES 2013

I was hoping dashcam would make an appearance at the CES.

So far the only one that I have found was the fxd700 Mach.

I have found a few Korean videos on youtube. How would you rate it?

This above video shows some of the many dash cams Thinkware have introduced. Some look very cool. I just hope they start selling these dash cams in USA.

This is an interesting cam. A few weeks ago iNavi released this Black FXD700 Dual Lens camera as you mention. It uses the Sony Exmor CMOS sensor (not sure if it is the R sensor). It records 1920x1080p for the front lens and a rear lens can be added that records 640x480p.

I could only find forward facing videos on Youtube.

Here are some manufacturer videos claiming how well it handles different lighting situations (sun, dark, fog) - perhaps marketing hype

Overall, I haven't seen this for sale outside of Korea yet. From a dual cam perspective it is disappointing since the rear cam has such low resolution. For a single cam, it depends on the price.

I found this site for Thinkware. This looks promising. Still a Korean company. I wonder if they have an IOS app or English version.

I just don't like it.
Too much grey metallic color. Hard to hide.
Night mode is poor.
Big.
Too much work to take out the card.

Nice find on the site AmericanDriver. At least they have English software. No English firmware for the FXD700. I'm hoping more of these Korean manufacturers realize there is an English market out there and will provide some more competition against BlackVue, Itronics and FineVu.
