2026 Rav4 get a all new infotainment system, and all trims will include build-in dash cam feature called Drive Recorder. So far only one preview video focus on this feature:
Highlights -
1. Loop recording - front camera 1080p 30FPS only, record to internal memory, Up to 90 minutes total record time before overwrite.
2. Manual recording - save previous 10 seconds + 20 more seconds, record front + rear or front + 360 depends on the trim. Limit to 4 clips. Need to tap once to open the quick menu and tap once more to save.
3. Incident recording - can adjust sensitivity, limit to 5 clips. Always save if air bag trigger.
4. Recordings can be exported to a USB drive, but the speed, GPS and turn signal info are not exported with the videos. Can also automatically store manual and incident clip to a USB drive.
5. No audio recording, no parking mode, no mobile app integration.
Video contain GPS info when viewed in the car, but since build-in navigation is a subscription feature, I don't know if the Drive Recorder would be tied to that.
While not as good as the dash cams people here uses, it is sufficient for most people. I think we can expect future full refresh of Toyota models to have Drive Recorder.
