Night quality is important, so I liked the polarizing filter available for that camera.

Has to be a robust, quality unit. Not afraid to spend some cash.

Single channel, 4K, capacitor, easy clip uploading would be handy.

Ordered a Viofo A229 Pro 2-CH, and I am going to use the rear camera for a side view facing the drivers window, after being inspired by another post here.

I wouldn't expect the CPL filter to work very well on that, and a side window CPL to not work at all.

But, I would be interested to see the results if you post some...

I am going to use the rear camera for a side view facing the drivers window,

I would mount it looking in the mirror, and fairly close to the mirror, since the closer it is, the more detail you will get in the image of the mirror.
