So far im liking my u1000 but i absolutely HATE the motion detection recording since you cannot disable the motion detection at all and just rely on impacts.

I have the ivolt battery installed and at work the battery gets depleted by lunch time due to the amount of motion.

I have motion set to lowest and it still doesn't last very long.

Is there a way to have buffered parking mode only for impacts and not motion? I do not want the radar accessory.

maybe put parking mode in time lapse or energy saving ?

I tried energy saving but its not buffered. And time lapse only records 2fps video so when i tested an impact it missed some details + no audio recording in time lapse.

yes sorry you are right

but your case is strange;
I used to have my camera directly on one simple battery as well and this easily gave me parkmode for the whole day
are you sure the ivolt battery is not defective ?

I checked the other day and the camera was still on when i got back after the work day. I will try to do more testing throughout the week/month but it seems to be working well in the short week I have had it.

Otherwise i still wish thinkware allowed you to disable motion since this thing could probably last many days with just buffered impact. Kind of an oversight imo.

My first unit was defective and would never go into low energy mode (requires radar module) even though it was enabled and it would completely drain my cellink neo after 3 days. It would also record everything and fill up the sdcard completely ignoring all of my settings.

I would check and make sure that your unit isn't doing this as well not to mention the fact that my unit was also running super hot to the touch. They have a 2 year factory warranty so Thinkware swapped it out and the replacement works great. Now it can sit a week and not drain the neo.
