Hello everyone,

is it possible to use the multiplex box MB100 with the new U3000? Alternatively, is there a workaround to work with two BCFH-50SW and the U3000?

I urgently need a 4 channel long term recording (radar) solution like the U3000 has, but plus 2 additional IP68 cameras to mount on my side mirrors.

Best regards,
Christopher

My initial guess is that the MB100 would not be compatible with the U3000. The U3000 rear camera is a 2K camera. The MB100 outputs a 1080p signal to the front camera it's connected to. The list of Thinkware dash cameras that the MB100 is compatible with only support 1080p rear cameras (F200 PRO, F790, X800, and X700).

Thanks for your info, looks like I need to contact Thinkware support here whats is possible. I find Thinkware's radar solution extremely interesting, because you can use the parking mode for a very long time and the battery lasts for a long time.

I asked Thinkware (which is very competent) and got the following answer:

No, the interface to the MB100 is analogue whereas the connection between the front and rear cameras of the U3000 is digital.
