So I bought this varifocal as a lens replacement for my git2p camera.

Unfortunately I only concentrated on the 'title' of the item ('Viewing Angle 90~38D for Action Sport Camera') and failed to noticed the attached picture.
Fortunately I have also brought this https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003156888043.html as back up on the possibility that the camera would become unwieldy because the new lens.

The question now is what I need to do in order for me to attached the lens to an action camera ? I have a mobius 1 that I could use.

The lenses just screw in, but of course you cant just have a big lens hanging off a sensor PCB, it must be supported in some way i think.
The guys that have used these varifocal lenses i think some times have had to modify the mobius camera housing a little to be able to screw in the lens enough.
The other fixed focus lens, that just screw right in and should not need any support or modification, just screw in until the correct focus are archived, then lock in place in some way.

It is not an M12, so I don't think it does screw in? - "Mount: D14".

Even if the D14 mount lens was threaded it would not fit your Mobius or Git2P lens holder which accepts 12mm threaded lenses with a .05mm thread pitch. M12 means that the lens barrel is 12mm in diameter. D14 is 14mm in diameter. Unthreaded D14 lenses are used in CCTV cameras where they are mounted into a lens housing sleeve using set screws.

Treeye will exchange the lens for the proper one if you return it to them. They always offer excellent friendly customer service.

The varifocal lens I would recommend to purchase is the 5.0Megapixel Varifocal M12 Mount 5MP 6-22mm ƒ/1.6 - 1/2.5" with 650nm IR Filter. This is a 5.0 Megapixel lens with a more useful telephoto range that will give you better image quality. The 3.0 Mega pixel lens would be adequate but will not offer the acuity of the 5.0 Megapixel lens. The varifocal range you decide on will depend on your needs and your preferences, of course.

The unthreaded D14 lens you purchased is the 5.0Megapixel Varifocal 2.8-12mm Lens with IR Filter D14 Mount ƒ/1.4

The equivalent available M12 threaded lens is the
3.0Megapixel Fixed Iris M12 3MP 2.8-12mm ƒ/1.4 Varifocal Lens with 650nm IR Filter
