New to dash cams. Installed camera and it works fine but image is upside-down on cell. How to correct that? Can the existing video be viewed correctly on PC copied from SD card? Appreciate your help.

You could try updating the firmware, the last firmware update added an auto rotate for when the camera is upside down.

And also check its G-sensor setting within APP,please switch G-sensor Off to G-sensor Middle (or other level Low,High).

Still no joy. Only way to make image correct way up is to reverse the camera position but the date stamp is still up side down.
Can you provide a reliable link for the firmware update? Thanks.

PM you firmware download link already, please check your inbox message!

OK finally got the memo (didn't know about inbox) and followed the instructions. Version displayed is V1.06.17017. Is that correct? But the image is still up side down. Here is the puzzling part re camera /image orientation in the car vs out of the car (in house). In both cases camera body is horizontal and lens is near horizontal, the sd card/usb port is on left hand side. In t he car the image is upside down whereas in the house it is right way up. ?????. Is there a solution?

Version displayed is V1.06.17017
This is old version,and you should load newer version V1.06.20180103;
And you can download this newer version here:
https://dashcamtalk.com/cams/b1w/Blueskysea B1W Firmware Wifi ON v1.06.180103.zip
Also, you can load this newer firmware in this way:
  1. Download the firmware and unzip it. You will find 2 files: file names cardvr_img.bin and default_cfg.bin
  2. Format the 32Gb SD card in FAT32 format by windows computer.(if 64gb card or above, you should use this Guiformat tool to format it as FAT32 by windows computer.)
  3. Copy the file cardvr_img.bin and default_cfg.bin files over to the root directory of the SD card and put the card into the camera.
  4. Power on the camera in the car and the firmware should automatically move onto the camera, leave for 30 seconds to 1 minute to ensure the firmware has updated the camera
  5. Take out the SD card and reformat it
  6. Place the SD card back into the camera
  7. Check the firmware version using the app on your smartphone, its newer version should be V1.06.20180103

The link you provided 2 days ago is different from the one above. So was the previous link incorrect? I am getting weary. Explanation for the orientation anomaly in car vs in house?
Thanks.

This firmware which i PM you is same as the one i post here; They are same content, just be relaxed!
This old firmware V1.06.17017 can not support image flip, you can load this newer firmware to solve it,thanks for your cooperation!
And could you PM me your other online contact way,so we can guide you to solve it step by step!

Edit: Glad to hear that it works after you updated its firmware well!

This is for the nexus 312GW
You have Rotate Image on
1) Turn the Dash Cam on
2) Stop it recording
3) Press the Menu Button to enter Video Menu
4) Scroll down to ‘Rotate Display'
5) Set this to 'OFF'.

In B1W, the image is automatically flipped if you rotated the camera 180 degrees around the mounting axis
(the owners understand what this is about),
you just need to correctly orient the B1W initially (the power connector and memory card slot are on the right).
In B1W there is no switch in the menu for flipping the image.

not familiar with this model but cameras that have auto rotate often need to have the G-Sensor turned on, if turned off the auto rotate function doesn't work

The image flips but the UI/on screen display does not. That's the issue. If you need to mount the camera to your dash, the video will record upside down
