I already have the HK6 installed, so it would make it easier for me not to remove the cable from the dashcam because I would have to remove some panels. Does it matter which cable I use (2M or 4M)? Do they both provide the same functions?

I think it would be no problem, i would fror sure try if it worked first before i tore into some panels and what not. ( just do a pile of stuff on top of dashboard test to make sure before any actual work )
Lengthening the USB cables can be grief, not least if you are using generic cables, i did once for powering a single rear camera from the front of the almost micro car, this camera would only intermittent start and record, so me getting rear ended was not filmed.

I at the moment have Vantrue system that is powered ( when parked ) by a 70mai power pack.
So the power go from the two fuses and ground to the power pack, and from its also 3 wire output to the Vantrue hard wire kit, and from there VIA USB to the 4G modem, and from there to the S2ProMax system.
The hard wire kit have a shorter ( 2 M i think ) fixed USB cable, that would then go to the system or in my cars to the 4G moden and then from there to the dashcam.

I always try to use as short cables as i can, but i do try to not mix and match older hardware, though i have done so especially upgrading to the same brand, and that have always worked just fine for me.

With the power pack i of course want to tap into a big AMP fuse for the charge cable which i assume is the always on one, that is what i have now ( 30 A fuse ) and then the ACC i have grabbed from a 10 A fuse.
As i recall the 70mai pack will draw over 10 A when charging, anyway things seem to be working well ( just did the install as i recently changed car )

I am not familiar with this newer Viofo hard wire kit, it have sadly been a while since i have been privy to sampling any of their excellent stuff.

VIOFO BP100
These (2) cables are for two different installation methods, (see attached screenshot).
Ideally you’ll want to use the included “HARDWIRE OUTPUT CABLE (Type-C) 4 Meter”
This allows full capacity of BP100 to be used.
HK6 will prevent full capacity usage because lowest cut-off voltage is 11.8V.
BP100 discharges down to 10.0V.
Based on my measurements this is a difference of approximately 4% of 98Wh capacity.
An extra 4Wh does not sound like a lot, but now that we have LPID that means the difference of having “coverage” for an additional 9 Hours of parking mode operation.

However, since you already have HK6 installed behind trim panels it doesn't make sense to remove it, and replace with HARDWIRE OUTPUT CABLE (Type-C) 4 Meter.
But, I have good news.
Since HK6 has a modular design (two clips on each end) it can easily be replaced with VIOFO’s “special” HK6 that has the 12.4V cut-off setting modified to “no cut-off”.
This means you can drain full capacity from BP100.
You can request a special no cut-off HK6 by SUBMIT A TICKET
After you get the special HK6 installed, all you have to do it connect it to BP100 with included (HARDWIRE OUTPUT CABLE ADAPTER 2 Meter).
