Using a toggle switch to enable parking mode

So here's my issue, I have a dash cam that I purchased to use in my semi truck. So since I never really turned the truck completely off to keep the climate control working, it's there a way to use a toggle to enable parking mode while I'm parked for the night? Currently the camera stays on and recording in normal mode all night, This results in me having to delete a lot of videos daily. Any advice would be appreciated.

If you put a switch on the ACC wire going to the dashcam's hardwiring kit, that should make it think it's parked, at least on VIOFO cameras I think.
