The E1 Pro also supports OTA update.
Does it need modem connected? I moved modem back to the N2X. I'm guessing it doesn't use the cell phone's internet then to push an OTA Update?

It doesn't need a modem. I performed all OTA updates via LTE on my phone then it pushes it to the dashcam to update.Does it need modem connected? I moved modem back to the N2X. I'm guessing it doesn't use the cell phone's internet then to push an OTA Update?
Same here. It works rather well.It doesn't need a modem. I performed all OTA updates via LTE on my phone then it pushes it to the dashcam to update.
It is supposed to have a magnet in there to prevent it sliding out on impact...BTW in regard to the E1 pro i have, i am pretty sure if i get rear ended forcefully the camera will slide out of the mount, i will have to DIY a little to have more friction in the mounting system.
I tried asking google's AI about "food pounds", now I'm even more confused!VS the 27 food pound of the 13 grain i mostly shoot.

I did some testing with this and am not seeing collision notifications with low bitrate mode.I switched to low bitrate and that only sends a notification if there's an impact.
Hmm. Maybe my memory is failing. I'd go with your recent findings.I did some testing with this and am not seeing collision notifications with low bitrate mode.
Luck of the drawer sometimes whether it sees it from the server or not. Or could have been like what happens with firmware update rollouts on phones where it's a staged rollout.Weird. I wonder what I did wrong? It never gave me an OTA option so I loaded the firmware an SD card to manually update.
Did the prompt automatically appear for you guys to update? Or is there a setting I need to check off?

No setting is required. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, sometimes it's turned up for me with newer updates and sometimes it hasn't. 70mai is the only one that has had it shown up with consistency.
No dramas, I think from what others have reported it appears it's been resolved. To my eyes it looks like it's been solved too. But definitely a necessary update because it was jarring to look at the footageThanks. I need to pull videos off it to compare before and after the update. Others said (and update listed) it resolved the duplicate frame issue. So that's why I wanted to get this loaded.

So I disabled it in the E1 Pro, but I'm still seeing this popup. Is there another way to get rid of it?Regarding the data usage notifications, you can go to LTE Settings and turn off Data Flow Control. Once you do that, you won’t receive any more notifications.
Very nice, the E1 Pro is probably the best one channel dashcam of 2025 for sure.Just finished up a video testing out the Vantrue cloud features with the E1 Pro.
I'd like to continue on and do a full test and review of the E1 Pro since it seems like a pretty solid pick overall, but my A329S and A329T arrive later this week so I'm gonna switch gears for a bit to work on a series of videos of those dashcams first.
I remember now - I did get a collision notification when my parked car was hit whilst I was running the E360 in low bitrate mode.I did some testing with this and am not seeing collision notifications with low bitrate mode.
Sorry about that. I just checked with our technical team. Currently, there isn’t an option to disable the reminder. However, we’ll consider adding a “don’t remind again” option in a future update. So I disabled it in the E1 Pro, but I'm still seeing this popup. Is there another way to get rid of it?

On another note, I just tried the E360 with the LTE module and that dashcam only has one port for power which is in the doublestick tape GPS mount. Its USB C port in the dashcam body is for the rear cam, not for power. Plugging the LTE module into the E360's GPS mount works just fine, unlike the E1 Pro.
Ah awesome. I wonder why the behavior is different. Maybe something about the E360 vs E1 Pro perhaps?I remember now - I did get a collision notification when my parked car was hit whilst I was running the E360 in low bitrate mode.
