I have upgraded from Viofo A229Pro to A329S with HK6 and need help in finding a switched fuse in the passenger seat fuse box of my Ford Focus MK4 (2022 Facelift). For permanent voltage I used fuse 24 (spare, unused). For the parking mode detection I initially tried fuse 3 (parking aid), but that disabled the parking sensors. In this forum I found the recommendation to try fuse 17 (voice control) but that prevented the Sync touchscreen from switching on.

My next attempt would be fuse 6 (moonroof, which my car does not have), but space is too tight to fit the connector. I have ordered an extension cable but this will take a couple of days to arrive. Do you know a switched fuse, which can be safely used w/o breaking anything? Alternatively I am thinking of a DIY solution that creates a connection from 12V lighter socket to the HK6. It probably will not switch to parking mode immediately after stopping the engine but that should be a minor issue.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I looked up the fusebox for a 2022 Ford Focus and found this resource:

In the Passenger Compartment, it looks like the following fuse locations might work:
F61 - cigar lighter (provided it turns off with the ignition)
F62, F63, F64 and F68 are all indicated as "Spare" so give them a try

In the Luggage compartment, F1, F2, F8, and F12-F46 are all specified as "not used" so they are worth a try as well.

Thanks for your help, Eric. It seems that is for a different model. The fuse box below the glove compartment looks like this
https://my-ford-focus.de/en/fuse-box/ I will have a look tomorrow and check the luggage compartment.

Interesting- your link shows whether each fuse location is "Permanent Live" or "Switched Live." Of those, position 6 is the only one that I would be interested fiddling with. Do you have another fusebox somewhere that you can tap? Often, there is one in the trunk that carrier fewer "critical" systems.

Fuse 6 is the one I will try, once the extension wire arrives. I had hoped that someone had found one of the remaining positions that could be tinkered with safely. I will check the trunk and report here once I have found a working solution.

After a couple of days of flawless operation I can confirm that fuse 6 (moonroof) is working w/o issues. All systems seem to operate normally. I emptied the DTC, scanned and found no errors.

For the record, my car does not have a fuse box in the trunk and I wanted to avoid the hassle of routing a wire from the engine compartment.

And I'm delighted that GPS is finally working w/o any issues... one of the reasons I replaced the A229, which would not establish a GPS link most of the time.
