So the Viofo EP100 expansion battery for the BP100 uses the same XT60 connector used in many other batteries. For that reason, I've been curious whether or not it's compatible with other brands of battery packs, and it turns out, it is!!

Viofo was kind enough to be the guinea pig and tested an EP100 with the Blackvue B-124X and reported that it worked.

I've been running a B-124 in my car for years with a Cellink Neo expansion. (The Cellink Neo expansion is cross-compatible with Blackvue's native B-124E expansion.)

Well, the BBMC Powercell 8 that I run in my other car also uses the Cellink Neo as its expansion battery and so I figured I'd try hooking up the EP100 into it and so far it looks like it's working perfectly!

I still need to go drive and do some proper testing to verify, but so far so good!

All dashcam battery packs are of the LFP type and feature a 4S*P configuration.
The 4S - indicates a series connection of four LFP cells; the corresponding voltage range is approximately 10V to 14.6V - batteries of this type are commonly referred to as 12-volt batteries.
The dashcam extended batteries feature the same 4S configuration and the same voltage range.
Any 12-volt LFP battery can be connected in parallel with another 12-volt LFP battery.
(The main battery BMS must be capable of adjusting the total capacity to ensure accurate indication.)

Note: when connected in parallel, the total system capacity increases, while the voltage and charging rate remains unchanged.
