What video codec do you actually use on your Blackvue? (H264 or H265)

I have recently had a Blackvue DR970X-2Ch Plus installed. I had a bit of issue with different SD cards before until I started using Samsung Pro Endurance 256GB. However, I notice the video has a bit of a purple flash once in a while when I set the codec to H265 and also my Gaming Computer running Windows 10 cannot play the videos and it shows error.

Setting the Codec to H264 fixed all the issues and I think it's more compatible for both playing and writing on the SD card. Does anyone experience the same and do you just keep it at H264 for more space and more compatibility?

I use H265 and use SanDisk 512GB High Endurance without any issues.

Most likely a suspect SD card, as Amazon resellers are know for slipping in fake card or poor quality ones into genuine item pages.

If you got from Amazon, try returning for a replacement.


Also try updating codec on your PC.
Try K-Lite Codec Pack from www.codecguide.com
